Name derivation:
Latin 'olearius' pertaining to oil, from 'olea' olive and 'flora' flower, 'bundum' plenty
Distribution:
Found mainly in heath and shrub communities on sandy soils

Plant description:
Erect spreading shrub 1-2 m high. Leaves alternate, crowded; lamina elliptic or ovate, 0.5–3 mm long, 0.3–1 mm wide, upper surface glabrous, lower surface grey-woolly. Capitula solitary, terminal, sessile, 8–13 mm diameter. Ray florets 3–7, white, disc florets 3–9, cream. Flowering July - February.
Fruit type:
Achenes compressed-terete, 1.5-2 mm long, striate, densely pubescent; pappus bristles 25-35, uniseriate, equal, 3 mm long.
