Name derivation:
Latin 'olearius' pertaining to oil, from 'olea' olive and 'muelleri' after the Australian botanist Baron Ferdinand von Mueller (1825-1896)
Distribution:
In mallee and woodland communities on loams and sandy soils
Plant description:
Spreading shrub to 1.5m high. Leaves alternate, sessile, broadly cuneate or orbicular with a narrowed base, 6-14 mm long, 5-10 mm wide, glabrous. Capitula solitary, terminal, almost sessile 13–31 mm wide. Ray florets 7–13, white, disc florets 12–18, yellow. Flowering August - October.
